Emergency First Aid at Work

This one day qualification meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.

Duration:
A minimum of 6 hours, consisting of practical and theoretical activities. Ideally run over one day.

Syllabus:

  • A range of subjects are covered including:
  • Responsibilities and reporting Bleeding Epilepsy
  • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty Shock Burns
  • Choking Anatomy Minor injuries
  • CPR and AED Assessment of the situation Basic hygiene in First Aid

Certification:
Practical assessment is ongoing by instructor, and a 3 year FFA level 3 Award (level 6 in Scotland) Emergency First Aid at Work certificate will be issued to those who satisfy the criteria.

Numbers:
A maximum of 12 students per course.
