CPR/AED

This very practical course will enable students perform CPR and use an AED competently and with confidence and includes vital training in choking procedures.

Duration:
A minimum of 6 hours, consisting of practical and theoretical activities.

Syllabus:

  • A range of subjects are covered including:
  • Responsibilities, and reporting Resuscitation Choking
  • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty Heart attacks AED safety
  • AED functions Infection Control Paediatric defibrillation
  • Assessment of the situation Defibrillation procedures

Certification:
Assessment is based on practical and oral assessment throughout the course. A 3 year FAA level 2 award (level 5 Scotland) Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation & Automated External Defibrillation certificate will be issued to those who satisfy the criteria.

Numbers:
A maximum of 12 students per course.
