Rescue Emergency Care (Rec 3)

This is an intensive 18 hour course designed for those who work in the outdoors, outdoor instructors, or people who enjoy outdoor recreational activities, such as hillwalking, Climbing, Mountain biking, canoeing, Sailing etc. This course will provide you with the skill set and confidence to treat someone who has become injured or ill in remote or wilderness areas. In these situation help be at least 4 hours away and throughout this course participants will get to practice the skills they have learned during outdoor scenario training using minimal equipment that you would normally carrying with you in the outdoors.

Rec was developed over 25 years ago in Scotland and is constantly evolving, this course is certified as part of the Rescue Emergency Care Series scheme. Rescue Emergency Care level 3 meets the first aid training needs of the major governing bodies such as Mountaineering Ireland, Canoeing Ireland and the RYA. This course is delivered by Instructors with a vast amount of experience in the outdoors and in remote wilderness environments.
